PLEASE NOTE:

  • If you sign up, be sure you are 100% committed to attending the dinner. Alums have opened their homes to meet with you and provide dinner for an expected number of guests.
  • Plan to arrive on time and stay for the entire program - do not sign up if you have to arrive late or leave early.
  • Sign up for only ONE dinner.

WHAT TIME IS DINNER?
Plan for your adventure to last about 3 hours. That said, every dinner is different. If your dinner starts to run longer than 3 hours, feel free to let your host know that the group needs to get back to campus. Check the individual dinners for start times (they vary from 5:00PM to 7:00PM).

DOES THIS COST MONEY?
No! This event is FREE to attend.

WHAT IF I DON'T EAT MEAT...DAIRY...GLUTEN...etc.?
Most hosts have indicated what they are able to accomodate. V = vegetarian, GF = gluten free, LF = Lactose Free. When you register, make sure to let us know what you can/can't eat so we can alert your host. However, also note if your hosts have indicated they can only handle a certain dietary accommodation (e.g. Vegetarians only. Therefore Vegans should choose a different dinner).

WHAT IF MY MAJOR ISN'T REPRESENTED?
That's ok, you are still encouraged to attend a dinner. These dinners aren't necessarily about networking, and there's still a lot you can learn from an alum, even if he/she doesn't have a major or career that you are interested in pursuing yourself.

HOW DO I GET TO DINNER?
All students will travel together.
Attendees will meet at the Marguerite bus stop by Tresidder. If you have a car and are willing to drive, you may be asked to drive part of the group to dinner (all dinners are within 10 miles of campus and many are just a few minutes away). Drivers who drive more than 10 miles will be reimbursed based on mileage.

WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE?
Local alumni are opening their homes to you and sharing the Stanford love. This popular program is brought to you by the Stanford Alumni Association and your Student Alumni Council.
